I was a victim of domestic violence. My children's father assaulted me. It was a brutal attack, which left me with various head injuries and permanent facial scars. With God's help in my life, I was able to turn a tragedy into a triumph. I did not allow this adverse circumstance dictate my future. I was able to become a part of a Management Program with the Atlanta Housing Authority which allowed me to learn the skills to manage a public housing development.
